OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
Entering the local health market can be complex and resource intensive. It is challenging to understand what health may consider purchasing now or in the future, how to access clinical decision makers or what is required to construct a competitive bid.
To address these barriers, the Australian Medtech Manufacturing Alliance (AMMA) has launched the Pathway to Market - Medtech Capability Uplift Program to support local medical technology (medtech) companies in bringing their products into hospitals and health services across Victoria and more broadly.
The Pathway to Market - Medtech Capability Uplift Program is designed to help Victorian SME medtech manufacturers to position themselves competitively for local health procurement opportunities. Delivered by MTPConnect in partnership with BioMelbourne Network and supported by the Victorian Government, the program supports market-ready companies through a focused 5-month journey.
The comprehensive program includes an expert-led Masterclass, tailored practical workshops on becoming procurement-ready, navigating HealthShare Victoria, understanding how to align with hospital procurement needs and structuring competitive tender bids. Each cohort finishes with an Open Day, where companies present their products and connect directly with major health service buyers and clinical leaders.
